Privacy policy
Last updated 10 October 2026. Todo Watch is a small app run by one person. This page says what it collects, where each piece is kept, and how to get rid of it. Questions go to [email protected].
Your account is kept by Clerk
You sign in to Todo Watch through Clerk, the service that runs our sign-in. Clerk keeps your email address and the way you sign in. If you sign in through another account, such as Google, GitHub or Apple, Clerk also keeps the basic profile details that service shares, such as your name and, for Google and GitHub, your picture. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, Apple gives us a private relay address that forwards our emails to you, and we never see your real one.
Your settings are kept in our database
Every signed-in account, free or Pro, has its settings saved in our own database so they follow you between devices. That database also keeps your Clerk account ID and a copy of your email address. It is hosted by Neon.
Your tasks depend on your plan
Free plan: your tasks and their timers stay on the device you use, in your browser's storage. They are never sent to us.
Pro plan: your tasks are saved in our database so they sync across your devices. That covers each task's text, tags, day, order, status and timer, and when it was created, started, finished and last changed.
Your email preference is kept by Clerk
The app asks once whether you want product news by email. Your answer and the date you gave it are saved on your Clerk account. You can change it at any time in the app's Settings.
Payments are handled by Clerk and Stripe
If you pay for Pro, Clerk Billing and its payment processor, Stripe, handle the payment. Your card details go to them, never to us.
Requests pass through our hosts
Like any website, Todo Watch is served through providers that handle each request, including your IP address, to deliver the page. Ours are Render, which hosts the app, and Cloudflare, which sits in front of it.
No tracking, no ads, no selling
Todo Watch has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies of its own. Clerk sets the cookies it needs to keep you signed in, and during Pro checkout Stripe may set its own cookies to prevent fraud. We don't sell or share your data with anyone beyond the providers named on this page.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself from inside the app. That removes your account, your settings and any synced tasks from our servers. Delete your account has the steps and the full list of what gets deleted.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
